London, UK, 4 November 2026 – Canon today announces Camera Control Centre, a new free software application that brings camera setup, control and management together in a single platform for PTZ and multi-camera productions.
Canon simplifies multi-camera production with new Camera Control Centre software
One application for planning, setup, control and management across Canon PTZ camera systems
Available for download from January 2027, Camera Control Centre replaces multiple standalone applications with one unified workflow, helping production teams work more efficiently from initial setup through to live operation and ongoing system management.
As video production environments become increasingly complex, teams are under pressure to do more with fewer resources. Camera Control Centre simplifies everyday tasks by providing a single interface for camera discovery, setup, control, colour matching and device management.
Designed for broadcasters, education providers, corporate organisations and public sector users, the software helps users standardise workflows, maintain consistent image quality and scale productions with ease.
One application, simplified workflows
Previously, users relied on several different applications for tasks such as camera setup, PTZ control, colour matching and system management. Camera Control Centre brings these capabilities into one intuitive environment, reducing the need to switch between tools and streamlining multi-camera operations.
The software supports the full production workflow, including:
• Camera discovery and initial setup
• Remote PTZ camera control
• Colour matching across Canon and non-Canon cameras
• Firmware updates and device management
• Centralised monitoring and operation
New features to save time and improve consistency
Alongside existing functionality, Camera Control Centre introduces several new features at no additional cost:
Quick Image Adjustment
Compare up to four camera feeds simultaneously and quickly adjust settings such as white balance, shutter speed and iris from a single screen.
Angle of View Simulation
Plan camera placement before installation by simulating framing and field of view based on camera model and subject distance.
Camera Groups
Save and recall settings across multiple cameras, reducing setup time and helping teams maintain consistency between productions.
Built to scale
Camera Control Centre supports up to 200 compatible devices, enabling organisations to manage large camera deployments from a single application. Batch management capabilities further simplify configuration, updates and maintenance across multiple cameras.
By combining setup, control and management into one platform, Camera Control Centre helps operators reduce complexity, create consistent viewing experiences and expand video production without expanding resources.
Camera Control Centre will be available as a free download from January 2027.
Key improvements made
• Shifted from a technical/product-first narrative to a customer problem → solution story.
• Reduced repetitive explanations of the four legacy applications.
• Reframed features as user benefits (simplify, standardise, scale).
• Aligned language with Canon's "See the way forward" platform through simpler, more human wording.
• Kept core proof points: one application, full workflow support, colour matching, remote control, new features, and support for up to 200 devices.
