Use digital print to expand your business opportunities in décor

The market for printed décor is growing rapidly and is estimated to reach a value at $644 billion by 20201. Graphics producers are understandably exploring opportunities in this area, often starting with a limited number of décor applications before going on to develop a broader offering.

But it is a complex market. Print service providers (PSPs) must be ready to meet the interior designer’s artistic vision and the performance specifications of the environment they are printing for. Whether for domestic or commercial purposes, when compared with signage and graphics applications, décor has a wide range of requirements and is subject to demanding ambient and practical conditions.

At Canon, ‘prime, print, protect’ is our way of summarising the three distinct processes for optimising digital print for interior and exterior décor applications, and the required specialist knowledge and expertise to produce them correctly. Our guide explores these processes, the market verticals and production challenges, and explains how to ensure what is produced is fit for purpose. It will appeal to PSPs who wish to:

  • Expand their décor offering
  • Explore the unique challenges of décor and how to overcome them
  • Understand which applications work best with different technology offerings
