Canon offers a selection of optional software and Apps to make the most out of your EOS, PowerShot or IXUS camera. Descriptions and links to download each software item and App are provided on this page.
Certain older products may not be officially supported by the current software. This may mean that not all software will be available for download when you visit your product’s support page.

Digital Photo Professional
Digital Photo Professional (DPP) is a high-performance RAW image processing, viewing and editing software for EOS digital cameras and PowerShot models with RAW capability. Using DPP you can easily perform basic and advanced editing and printing of RAW images. An example of the available editing functions are image rotation, white balance adjustment, dynamic-range adjustment, colour adjustment and fine-tuning of tone curve characteristics.
DPP supports sRGB, Adobe RGB, Wide Gamut RGB and Colour Management System (CMS) using the International Colour Consortium (ICC) Profile.

Digital Photo Professional is included in the initial software setup for your Canon camera.
EOS Utility makes it easy to transfer images from your EOS camera to your computer. You can transfer all images at once or select individual images to transfer, it also integrates easily with Digital Photo Professional and ImageBrowser EX.
EOS Utility also allows you to remotely operate the camera from your computer using either the interface (USB) cable that was supplied with your camera, or via Wi-Fi if your camera includes it or via a separate Wireless File Transmitter.

Please note that ImageBrowser EX has now replaced ZoomBrowser EX and ImageBrowser.
ImageBrowser EX is a software program for managing images shot using your Canon camera, providing a straightforward procedure for everything from downloading, organizing and editing images through to printing or sending your images as e-mail attachments.
You can perform many of the functions found on Adobe Photoshop such as cropping, converting JPEG and RAW images and adjusting contrast and saturation. You can also create and print personal photo albums, or create panoramas from multiple images using PhotoStitch which is also included.
Map Utility can also be accessed via ImageBrowser X enabling you to tag the location where your image was taken, this only applies to GPS enabled cameras.

ImageBrowser EX is included in the initial software setup for your Canon camera.
ImageBrowser EX will automatically install Microsoft Silverlight from the Microsoft server. Please ensure that you have a working internet connection for this installation to be successful.
Picture Style Editor
Picture Style Editor is a software program that allows you to create your own personalised picture style files to achieve the look you want for your images. These picture styles can then be applied to your images in the RAW processing stage or loaded onto the camera and applied at the time of shooting.

PhotoStitch allows you to select several photos of a large subject and easily merge them to create one panoramic image. This tool is especially useful in creating landscape images that are too large to capture on the camera.

EOS Movie Plugin
EOS Movie Plugin enables the ‘log and transfer’ of video footage from selected high end Canon EOS cameras into Apple’s Final Cut Pro editing package.
The plugin will convert EOS movie footage into Apple’s high quality ProRes 4:2:2 codec at approximately twice the speed of Apple’s standard conversion. Additionally, users will also be able to add timecode, reel names and metadata when editing their footage.

Canon RAW Codec
Canon RAW Codec is a plugin software for Windows that enables you to import and display Canon RAW image files using a programme such as Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.

ZoomBrowser EX and ImageBrowser
Please note that ZoomBrowser EX, which was previously available for Windows, and ImageBrowser, which was previously available for Mac, have both now been combined into one piece of software called ImageBrowser EX.
ZoomBrowser EX and ImageBrowser are both software programmes that enable you to easily manage and edit your images. You can process RAW images, create panoramic images and remotely shoot your camera from your PC.
