INTRODUCING THE EOS R10
Discover a camera that gives you more
More sharpness
The EOS R10 features our renowned Dual Pixel CMOS AF II focusing system, programmed using deep-learning AI technology for advanced subject recognition. It’s fast, precise and incredibly sensitive in low light – accurate in situations lit only by moonlight, in fact.
Experience a new kind of autofocus
The EOS R10 can recognise people, vehicles and animals – such as cats, dogs and birds – tracking them as they move anywhere in the frame8. Even fast-moving subjects are rendered pin sharp.
When photographing people, the EOS R10 first prioritises your subject’s eyes – the ‘window to the soul’. If these aren’t visible, then the face is tracked instead. And if your subject turns away for a moment, the head is next in line, followed by the body.
More speed
React instinctively, capturing fleeting moments in time with bursts of high-speed shooting – ideal for wildlife and sports photography. The EOS R10 can capture continuous bursts of RAW, JPEG or HEIF images at up to 15 frames1 per second (or 23 fps5 using the camera’s electronic shutter). All while the camera tracks the subject across the frame, continuously adjusting focus and exposure in response to the changing scene.
Capturing split-second moments
In RAW Burst mode, photos can be captured at up to 30fps with a 75 per cent crop, with the images being stored in a single movie file for neat and easy organisation. Individual images can then be extracted, processed and edited with our free Digital Photo Professional (DPP) software. When Pre-Shooting is enabled in the camera’s menu, the EOS R10 captures 0.5 sec of action from before the shutter release button is pressed, so you’ll always catch that magical perfect moment.
Quick to respond
The camera reacts quickly to your commands too, giving you a huge advantage when it comes to capturing the decisive moment. A DIGIC X processor delivers responsive handling and minimal viewfinder lag or blackout, so you’ll always feel connected to your subject.
More flexibility
Whether you shoot photos, video or a mixture of the two, the EOS R10 delivers superb image quality every time. It’s portable too, weighing in at just 429g9, so you can always take it with you.
Lights, camera, action!
4K that defies expectation
The EOS R10 captures extraordinary 4K video footage that looks superb on UHD displays and allows cropping without loss of quality when editing for Full HD projects. Filmmakers can choose between 4K/60p3 , for the silky-smooth reproduction of moving objects and slow-motion effects, or stunning oversampled 4K/30p created from the 6K output from the camera’s 24.2 megapixel sensor. The results have to be seen to be believed.
Super smooth motion
When shooting in Full HD mode, frame rates up to 120fps can be used, revealing even more subtleties in the motion of moving objects.10 And for slow moving scenes, the ability to create awesome 4K and Full HD time-lapse movies in-camera adds even more to your creative arsenal.
More simple and satisfying to use
From the moment you pick up the EOS R10 you’ll feel connected to it, like it’s an extension of your creative self. Buttons and dials fall instinctively under your fingers and thumbs and the camera’s electronic viewfinder (EVF) offers a clear and accurate view of the world.
APS-C comes to the EOS R system
The APS-C advantage
Because the EOS R10 is built around an APS-C sized sensor, lenses offer 1.6x more telephoto reach than equivalent focal lengths on a full-frame camera. Get right next to your subject for frame-filling wildlife and action shots that are full of impact.
Learn and grow as your shoot
For those who are new to EOS, or new to photography, a guided user interface helps you develop your skills as well as teaching you how your camera works. When you’re ready to go solo, the standard camera interface is so intuitive and user-friendly you might even forget it’s there.
“I LOVE HOW THE CAMERA WORKED. IT IS REALLY, REALLY FAST AND THE AUTOFOCUS IS AMAZING.”
More connected
The EOS R10 links wirelessly to your smartphone, so you can share your creativity with friends and followers. Post to social media, send video clips to friends and upload images to cloud accounts so they’re ready and waiting when you get back home.
Always stay connected
Built-in Bluetooth Low Energy maintains an always on connection, allowing 2.4GHz Wi-Fi to be activated seamlessly when images need to be transferred. It’s also possible to control the camera remotely from your smart device running the Canon Camera Connect app: seeing what it sees, changing settings and capturing photos and video. For simpler remote operation, the BR-E1 wireless Bluetooth controller is also available.
The EOS R10 also features USB-C for in-camera charging and tethered shooting to PC/Mac computers.
Canon aims to achieve net-zero CO2 emissions from its business activities by 2050
We will achieve this by delivering an average improvement of 3% per year in the lifecycle CO2 emissions improvement index per product. Which if sustained would mean roughly a 50% reduction from 2008 levels by the year 2030. We recognise this to be in line with the level of reduction called for by the Paris Agreement.
We will continue to undertake target reviews from a long-term perspective as a way of checking our contribution to the realisation of a low-carbon society.
