XF705
4K UHD/50P 4:2:2 10-bit support with HEVC
XF-HEVC is Canon's new recording format which uses H.265/HEVC in an MXF container. H.265 offers a newer encoding technology that is about 2x as efficient as mainstream H.264/AVC. By using XF-HEVC it means the XF705 is capable of recording high quality 4K UHD 50P 4:2:2 10-bit files directly to SD card. This means efficient 4K UHD data handling and lower media costs.
In addition to the XF-HEVC format, XF705 can record in UHD XF-AVC and Full HD/50P XF-AVC (and MP4*), complementing exiting workflows and file formats.
